M.S. in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University; Retired from the Gwinnett County Police after 36 years of service, the final 11 years as Chief of Police; Serves as an instructor for the Carl Vinson Institute of Government providing instruction for elected officials throughout the state. Classes are centered on fostering co-operation between these officials and law enforcement agencies; Teaches for Social Emotional Intelligence Training (SEIT). Instruction has been offered to law enforcement personnel of all levels throughout Georgia and several states. The training focuses on social intelligence and communication skills for law enforcement personnel and the public, as well as within their agencies. These classes include Social Intelligence for Law Enforcement, Leaders Without Titles and The Quiet Cop.
